The City of Oulu has given the seventh of the ‘100 Acts’ award to Dr Professor's Thesis of Evil.

The program for the 22th Tromso International Film Festival 2012 is now available. Dr Professor's Thesis of Evil was selected to the Films From The North category to compete for the main prize Tromso Palm.
It’s now been two and a half years since we begun working with Thesis of Evil, and now the film is finally ready. I can hardly believe I’m writing these words. It is done.
With very mixed feelings, I am trying to comprehend this fact. Waking up the last 900 or so mornings, this film on my mind (and going to sleep thinking the same), it is not very easy to accept it. Of course we could’ve gone working on the film for couple of weeks (or months) polishing images, refining sounds and perfecting animation, but at some point you just have to say that this film is finished. Otherwise we would be doing this for two more years.
Usually the question everyone asks at this point is did it turn out to be the film you went to make. And the answer is no. No, it didn’t come out as we first...
I recently visited the opening ceremonies of the Helsinki Short Film Festival where Thesis of Evil was showcased with five other short films. I took some time to meet people and ask their opinions on camera. Check out the footage!
KM, our dearly beloved chief of marketing, has done an effort in capturing making of material from the long and winding road of the Thesis of Evil. This means that there’s been a growing pile of stuff to edit for something like two years but no one to do something about it. Things are about to take a quantum leap since we’re lucky to have yet another new member in the group, a media student called Jouni Salo.
I’ve been quite busy recently with the stuff I’m handling with DP & ToE. I’ve started to feel I need someone to delegate *cough*dump*cough* some of it.. (yes, maybe now I can concentrate better on Juuso’s interview that I've promised! *sorry)
Thesis of Evil has been selected to compete in the Finnish Kettu Movie Awards in Finland.
This new short movie award of Suomen elokuvakontakti ry is meant to bring attention to domestic short movies, encourage film makers and reach new audiences through theater distribution.
Even the world’s most evil doctor must evolve. That is exactly why our website looks a wee bit different than before. The most notable change considering the web page as a whole is the plain and simple layout compared to the one before. There’s nothing more than you absolutely positively need. This was the starting point for our lead 3D artist and web designer Ville V. Vanninen after he had decided to do a face lift. Not to himself, the page.
You've probably noticed that lately I've started to produce a nerdy nerdy "Behind The" interview serie that tells something about our crew and their work for Thesis of Evil. So far I've interviewed the concept designer Kim Haataja and the lead 3D artist Ville V. Vanninen.

The pic is from a scene where Dr Professor is being rebuked by his marketing assistants, and DP isn't very happy about it as you can see. The pic/scene is animated in the movie (as pretty much everything in the movie), so... I'll even publish a demo video showing...
