What does this guy do?
Rami's job is to create a score which accents the visual atmosphere never before seen in a film in Finland. He doesn't know yet if he should go for a traditional orchestral style or something more modern, but whatever he decides, it's definitely going to be epic.
Methods of execution
Prior to this project Rami has written music for many short movies and some other projects. He doesn't always read screenplays before writing music, he wants to see the movie or scenes from it. Actors’ facial expressions, atmosphere of the shots and the way the movie is edited gives him ideas he needs to write music. Screenplay is an important part of course, but a picture is more than a thousand words. Rami is known to know what kind of music a scene needs better than a director, because music is what he lives for... Of course he listens to the director, but won't always agree on everything he/she says... in the end the most important thing is to get music and picture to fit together.
