New Help In Revealing Thesis In The Making

KM, our dearly beloved chief of marketing, has done an effort in capturing making of material from the long and winding road of the Thesis of Evil. This means that there’s been a growing pile of stuff to edit for something like two years but no one to do something about it. Things are about to take a quantum leap since we’re lucky to have yet another new member in the group, a media student called Jouni Salo.  

After high school Jouni has studied one and a half years in Lybecker Institute of Crafts and Design. The Institute is situated in Raahe and Jouni is situated in Oulu which, at least to me, represents some hardcore dedication. Walking a couple of kilometres to a bus station, riding on a bus for an hour and finally walking to the school another couple of kilometres means waking up at 5:15 am on a morning when school starts at 8. Respect!  

Jouni’s background includes projects with his class such as short films and band venues but he also works as an all-around hands-on person in LestaTV which is an internet based underground culture channel in Finland. Jouni doesn’t spend much time with comics but admits being interested in superhero stuff thanks to the new wave of superhero movies. Other interests in his life have to do with music. Jouni enjoys dubstep as well as drum and bass. In fact he does gigs as a DJ in bars and high school parties and also plays guitar.  

Jouni found out about a chance to work with the ToE through his older sister, considered it interesting and cool and took it. Now he has put his skills and experience with editing into good use digging into our excessive amounts of raw making of material and creating something meaningful out of it. How has it been so far?

- It’s relaxed. The office is cool and it’s been pleasant to work here.

Do not let Dr Professor hear that! There’s already enough barb wire and booby traps here to barricade a small country. If Jouni is still alive after his practical placement with us he might strive for his dream job.

- I would like to do the same kind of stuff that I do here, professionally. Something audiovisual. I would also enjoy producing events and venues.

Jouni is especially hoping to get work experience from the area of his studies.

- Formerly I’ve worked for example in the city’s park maintenance which doesn’t exactly meet my schooling.

If the park in question happened to be in the cemetery DP could probably hold that as a plus. However as said, now we have just the kind of work for Jouni that benefits both. Welcome to the team!
